Lance Stroll and Yuki Tsunoda set to take engine penalties this weekend

Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll and AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda will be starting the race on Sunday from back of the grid after taking new power units

Lance Stroll took new Mercedes ICE, MGU-H, and control electronics and he exceeded allocation of above parts. He also took his fourth exhaust this weekend.

Yuki Tsunoda took new Honda ICE, MGU-H, and MGU-K which he exceeded his allocations of those parts. He also took his sixth exhaust this weekend.

Note: F1 introduced Limits on Exhausts usage in 2021 and every driver is allowed no more than 8 per season

Home hero Sergio Perez also took a new exhaust but it’s only his sixth, so he won’t receive any penalty

Mercedes’ Toto Wolff said that there are chances Lewis would take a new Power unit this weekend which would exceed his allocation. But for now, he’s on his fourth unit of the year
