Hamilton beats both Red Bulls in FP1

We’re in Interlagos after almost 2 years. Lewis Hamilton has a five-place grid penalty for Sunday’s race for changing his Combustion Engine. Mercedes announced this as soon as Lewis came out of pits. Lewis had some suspension problems but Mercedes fixed it after spending some time in the garage.

As this weekend has another Sprint race, Teams and Drivers only have 1hr to get used to the conditions and the car for qualifying. Ferrari were looking really good in FP1 with some impressive lap times. Carlos Sainz was ahead of Lewis at some point. Carlos was P6 and Charles was P7. But their Championship rivals McLaren were having a the worst FP1 this season. Lando Norris was P15 and Daniel was P19.

Both Max and Checo did a great job with those Red Bulls. But with a new engine, Lewis beat both of them by 3 tenths of a second. His Teammate Valtteri Bottas was P4 with just half a second behind his teammate.
